« Geniuses & Provocateurs »
Saturday, November 5, 2022 - Auditorium of the MAMAC in Nice
(Museum of Modern Art & Contemporary Art)
Free Entry - from 2:00 PM Sharp to 5:00 PM
I invite you to come and attend a non-soporific lecture (with slideshows and videos) about artists I particularly appreciate for their genius or provocative side :
Leonardo da Vinci, Hieronymus Bosch, The Postman Cheval (and similar figures), Alphonse Allais, Edvard Munch, Vincent van Gogh, Marcel Duchamp, André Breton, Salvador Dali, Yoko Ono, Pierre Pinoncelli, Jean Mas, Max Horde, Joris Brantuas, Maurizio Cattelan, Cheb Zaytoun, Banksy, « TooLate », etc...
I will also talk about certain revolutionary movements :
The Incoherent Artists, Surrealists, Présence Panchounette, Fluxus, etc...
During this lecture, you will learn many things that are far from the official discourse and not taught in art schools.
Furthermore, if you feel up to it, you can also become actors by being invited to perform reenactments of historical performances on stage.
And as I mentioned :
« I'm tired of boring lectures with a zombie-like audience : you will be allowed to interrupt me and ask your questions in real-time : it needs to be lively, I want action ! »
Conclusion :
Thanks to the numerous spectators who came and especially to those who interrupted me, participated, interacted, and asked relevant questions !
Thanks to Mr. Sylvain Schiva, journalist from the magazine "Nice Premium" for his very nice complimentary article ! ❤
He waited for me outside, and we had a conversation :
Me : Didn't you find it a bit long ? It lasted 3 hours after all.
Him : I'd rather spend 3 hours listening to an exciting lecture about art than spend 3 hours shopping in a supermarket !
(Beautiful response ! Thank you !)

Thanks to Mr. Michel Sajn, Director of Publication of "LA STRADA" for the publication (on page 12) in this free cultural newspaper distributed in 35,000 copies every month throughout the French Riviera and Monaco !

Additional Information :
If you think there must be an obligatory link between madness and genius, you can read this very interesting article, but it will not be the subject of this lecture :
